Your Luxury Holiday Home. A 35ft x 12ft, 3 Bedroom, 8 Berth Brentmere Celebration. And for those of you who like to take a holiday or break earlier or later in the year or for those colder spells is winterised and double glazed throughout with full gas centrally heated radiators in all rooms complimented by a gas fire in the lounge. There is a surfaced area at the side of the holiday home that allows parking for one car or low sided vehicle. The Holiday Home is in a quiet location and is only a couple of minutes walk from the Orchards reception area, the beach, FunWorks amusements centre, ShowBar, Mash and Barrel lounge cafe bar and Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the bus stop and no more than a few minutes walk from all of the Orchards other fantastic amenities. There are other car parks nearby at the Orchards. Also, there is a locked enclosure for boats, jetboats and jetski's.**

Nearby, about 2 minutes walk away from your holiday home and facing Point Clear Bay, you will find the Tudor Cafe, which serves a great selection of "freshly cooked home made food." This includes, Full English Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Snacks, Takeaway food and all at reasonable prices. The Tudor Cafe is a must eatery, whether you want to eat there everyday or for their delicious "traditional Sunday roast dinner." They are open all day early until late 7 day's a week throughout the holiday season.

Nearby, about 10 minutes walk away from your holiday home on Point Clear there is a Great British Pub, The Ferry Boat Inn where there is a nice garden with some childrens amusements. They serve good beer at reasonable prices along with a selection of food from sandwiches to steak and chips. The Ferry Boat Inn is also renowned for it's music nights with great act's from solo artist's, bands and karaoke. (Funworks passes are not required at The Ferry Boat Inn).

Nearby, about 5 minutes walk away from  your holiday home you will find the Oakmead Social Club in Oakmead Road, just off Point Clear Road. There is also a Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway at the Social Club in Oakmead Road. (Funworks passes are not required at the Oakmead Social Club).

Nearby, about 10 minutes walk away from your holiday home, just off Point Clear Road there is a Post Office and General Store with an Off Licence. 

Nearby, about 5 minutes drive away from your holiday home is the village of St Osyth, where you will find the famous St Osyth Priory and what is considered to be the most notable building in the village. A mediaeval Abbey, which is now the Parish Church, dedicated to St Peter and St Paul. There are three traditional British Pubs, two traditional Butchers shops a Farm shop with local produce and a variety of eating places which include Indian, Chinese, Thai and "The Village Chippy" a traditional takeaway fish and chip shop.

Nearby, about 2 minutes drive away from your holiday home on Point Clear Road and for your convenience there is a newly built Costcutter Grocery Store and Off Licence. 

Nearby, Dedham Vale, explore Constable country along with Flatford Mill and discover some of Britain's most enchanting and picturesque landscapes that inspired some of Britain's most treasured landscape paintings, such as the Hay Wain.

"The Top Ten Of Everything 2007" reports Point Clear, St Osyth, as the driest place in Great Britain again, with only 506.9mm of rain per year on average recorded over the last 40 years. Compare this with the wettest place in Great Britain, which is Crib Goch in Snowdonia, Wales, with an average of 4470mm of rain per year. 

Foot Ferry from Point Clear to Brightlingsea and East Mersea.

The first recorded ferry ran between Point Clear and Brightlingsea in 1699. The ferry service is seasonal and run's between June and September. Brightlingsea is the only Cinque Port north of the Thames. On Mersea Island you will be able to find, "The Gourmet Colchester Natives." Oysters that the Roman's some 2000 years ago declared were "the only good thing to come out of Great Britain." These and Gigas (rocks) oysters are freshly harvested from the West Mersea oyster bed's and are available from the harvesting Companies family run, "Company Shed Fish and Seafood Bar" on Mersea Island.
